CRM Tools should beturning Information into Intelligence’. Isn’t that what CRM tools are supposed to do? Most CRM tools today are better and much more affordable than they used to be – salesforce.com is a good example. They help control the deal, provide a framework for developing effective account strategies and generally encourage efficiency in the process of running a sales organisation (improving the accuracy of forecasting, for example). In practice, these tools are often misused, becoming nothing more than an expensive data storage tool, when it should be a source of data intelligence.
